A few important notes about technology:
We hope the session can be live, but in case the internet connection isn’t stable, we would like to ask you to send us a video of yourself playing by this upcoming Sunday, July 5th, via Google Drive, DropBox or IU Box. Please email a shareable link to rmbi@denverbrass.org
Avoid sending videos at the highest quality.
Files format should be .mp4 or .mov.
If you have an external microphone, please try to connect it to your computer before the session.
Test your internet speed: We recommend your upload speed should be at least 3 Mbps (5-8Mbps is ideal). Test your speed here: https://www.highspeedinternet.com/tools/speed-test
Here’s an important website that explains how to adjust the Zoom settings for music mode: https://www.ericheidbreder.com/post/the-best-services-and-settings-for-remote-music-lessons-with-step-by-step-instructions (One of the main things is to make sure to have the “enable original sound on”).
Please review the document and change the Zoom setting to accommodate your sound (so it will allow you to play live without sound manipulation).
Turn off your cellphone or any notifications that can go off during the live session.
