Climate

The city of Denver is one mile high, or 5,280 feet. Denver experiences a semi-arid climate with 15.81 in (402mm) of precipitation per year, and due to the high altitude, days are typically warm and nights cool. Drink lots of fluids to keep yourself hydrated and to help with your adjustment to the one mile high altitude.

Parking

The Four Points Sheraton SE does not charge for parking.

The Newman Center for the Performing Arts has an attached parking garage, and permits will be available at the registration table for a price of $6, cash only. If you need a parking pass for more than one day, please purchase all days together. With this permit, you will be able to enter and exit the parking structure all day long. There is also reasonable availability of on-street parking at the end of July. There is a 20 minute loading zone at the main doors, north end of the building, should you wish to come into the main lobby to purchase a daily parking pass.

Transportation From Hotel to Campus

Limited shuttle service is available from the hotel to the Lamont School of Music. Shuttles are available during heavy morning and evening hours. Hotel guests may also request shuttle service at other times by calling 303-758-7000.
